Today started with an install in the neighborhood for retirees. This particular apartment had an small hispanic woman and her daughter who looked to have down syndrome. I was here for an install. It was an easy install, so I took my time about it.
The next job was close to where I live. It was a very nice house. There was a woman here with her puppy. She said she was renting the place, she had just moved into town from the mountains. I had to create an extra outlet, but other wise the job was easy. She spent the time unpacking, so we didn't talk much at all. She had this really awesome antique clock on a dresser, that I wanted to take a closer look at, but people tend to get weirded out if your ogling their stuff. They think you may be casing the place.
I ran a couple errands for lunch and headed to the next job. I was met outside by a guy who said he was remodeling the place. They had laid down new concrete for the walkway up to the house and the driveway behind it. Inside there was no furniture, they were painting. The guy told me where they wanted everything. This involved running two new outlets through the crawl-space. The crawl-space was rocky and very rough on the knees. Eventually a woman showed up to help the guy paint. It seemed like he was doing everything by himself. He was talking about doing some hardwood floors at another house. The house was easy but time consuming.
My last job was the easiest of the day. There was a couple of lesbians living in this apartment. I was just here to switch out their box with a DVR. They had a cat whose eyes were two different colors. The one woman said the only reason she was getting this was to record Grey's Anatomy, because she works Thursday nights.
