I'm so fucking tired today. I really need some sleep bad. I knew right away I would have no patience. My first job was a house that's been converted into apartments. Only 4 apartments though, so the apartments were huge. I almost left when the guy here finally woke up. I was a little aggravated by this. Why make an appointment if you can't keep it. He showed me where the TV was and then said he didn't want me to install the Internet. I was fine with that. They had a pool table where most people would have put a dinning room table. This is obviously a bachelor pad. Eventually the other guy woke up, but I was leaving by that point.
The next job was in the land of scrape offs. There was rather handsome gentleman here with his dog. he mentioned a roommate but it looked like he lived here alone. This house had a foosball table. The guy would play fetch with the dog throwing the ball into the yard from inside the house. The dog would wait on the porch inconstant anticipation. The guy was answering phone calls from work. Or maybe he worked from home. I saw a document from the IRS saying he had been audited and had been found a little short a few years back. The job was easier than I thought it would be which is always nice.
My first job of the afternoon was a large house near a castle. At least the map says it's a castle. As much as I can see through the trees, it looks more like a mission. It's right near where I like to park and read. There was a very elderly couple here just finishing up their lunch. The wife left not long after I showed up. The husband would ask me questions about what I was doing and make suggestions about how I should make it look better, which was getting on my nerves. Then he would go and play piano a bit. Then he would come back and inquire some more. He kept going back and forth the whole time. At one point I got a call from a customer from last week who told me her internet isn't working. I told her I would call her later. When I was finished installing the Internet I had to walk the guy through how to use it all. I was trying to be as patient as I possible could at the moment.
The next job was closer to my place. It was a brand new apartment building. I had not been in this one. It looked nice. There was an older woman here with a child. I could tell she was just baby sitting. I believe she was the grandmother. The kid would just run around and say yes or no in a constant stream. Eventually the mom showed up right as I was finishing. As I was leaving I called the job from last week. She said she set up an appointment for tomorrow so I didn't need to come out there. So I went home.
