I had a rider today. Meaning I had to show someone the ropes. The guy was nice, he spent the day talking about conspiracy theories and technology.
The first job we went to was alright. The lady only had one TV, which for some reason seems strange to me. I am so used to seeing multiple TVs. Anyways it turned out that everything was pretty old and need to be replaced. She wanted to run an extra outlet which I wasn't too excited about, but decided not to in order to not disturb some birds that made a nest in her ivy.
The second job was in an apartment building that I am not too fond of. It's usually rather dirty and smells like urine. I can almost always find people stealing cable there as well. This particular job turned out easy. It was an older African gentleman, and we woke him up. He had to cover himself with a towel. He was grumpy, but we fixed his TV.
After that we went back to the first job, to replace the cable from the pole to her house.
After lunch we went to the house of a nice Jewish lady. She told us about a friend of hers who used to own a shop downtown. Apparently this shop was frequented by former first lady Mamie Eisenhower and apparently she was a kleptomaniac. The secret service would have to come back a return what she stole.
The next job was at an older gentleman's place, his place was pretty old and a lot needed to be replaced. After that we went to a gated community where a woman was accidentally disconnected. Lastly we went to a town-home complex. The lady there was a school teacher. We needed to fix her internet. Her place was nice, it was recently remodeled.
